Summary: The hotel is very clean, the beds comfortable, and it is updated. The bathrooms aren’t big but they aren’t closets either. It is a solid 2-3 star hotel from the physical conditions. Now for my experience. The person at the front desk wasn’t overly friendly or welcoming upon check in. I didn’t take it personal as I checked in at 9 pm. Our room was at the end of the hallway on the 2nd floor. I could smell marijuana in the hallway and coming from the stairwell. It wasn’t strong in my room and my young teenager and I just wanted to get to bed. We got settled and around 10 pm a man tried to get into our. I said, “What do you want?!” and the guy said, “Oh, wrong room” and I heard him then knock on the door across the hall, voices of other men and a door close. Then my room started to smell like marijuana. I went to the front desk to report everything and the man at the front desk downplayed everything. He insisted I was safe because no one could get in and it was probably kids with a hockey team. He offered to move us but I had to move my luggage to the lobby first and turn in the old room keys before I was given a new room. The man seemed annoyed to do his job but after I moved my luggage into the lobby he did apologize. I didn’t sleep well because I could hear people going in and out of rooms near mine all night.
